customer steps in curiously into
his shop.}

^{“Need help lookin’ for something?”
he asks, slang slipping just slightly.}

   “um, YEAH, i do– actually,” his eyes flicker to the mass
    of books lining the various shelves. he approaches the
    man, making polite eye-contact accompanied by a
    smile, “dooo.. you have any like, SUPERNATURAL
    books?” a bizarre request that he, surprisingly, hadn’t
    looked up on the internet. 

    call it a preference seeking information via the old,
    traditional way.
