               _{It was the usual morning walk through the hallways of her
               high school but this time she walked alone, soon to be meeting
               Marcia, Bob and the rest of her group. She glanced over at a boy
               who spoke up rather loudly and just assumed since she was the only
              one passing him he was speaking to her causing her feet to come to a

     cherry. it’s hard NOT to have heard about her & her group. to those
     cliques outside of the socs, they had this nondescript allurement that
     made even the most isolated person want to bat their eyes in their
     direction. well, excluding the GREASERS. though she was different,
     especially when stopping to acknowledge sam. 

     “i– i was just wondering. &, i mean, it shouldn’t matter so much,
      too, you know? why can’t people just get ALONG without being
      teased if a person thinks they’re not cool?”

        he’s contemplating this, thinking way too deep into it,
        & continues on for the past half-hour. it’s when she
        passes by that he finally says it aloud.

      “what makes someone ‘cool’?”
