   there’s a piano back home, sure, but no one in his family
   could lace together a flawless piece the way the man had.
   he emits this air of professionalism, even comfort, when
   he’s with his piano, sam notices; obviously, a pianist.

   the mention of his whereabouts reels out a shrug from
   sam, “yeah, but .. i dunno, my parents’d be fine with me
   missing the first few periods of school–” a blatant lie, &
   IT SHOWS. “a-actually, no they wouldn’t. i just don’t
   feel ready for another day of it,” his voice trails off,
   returning to the subject of the piano. “what song is that?
   maybe you could play the piano at our house sometime.
   we don’t use it that often.”

      lose himself with the music; sam tries not to say anything
      until the song ended, “wow… how long’ve you played
      the piano?”
