       the silence didn’t really sit well with sam, fortunately he knows
       how to keep a conversation going when necessary.  besides,
       he feels pretty glad getting the chance to meet someone he’s
       heard of. 

       ‘ so, um.. what do you guys usually do? ‘ he asks, mostly
        about the group he usually sees johnny & ponyboy
        hanging out with.

      “’we have clearance, clarence.’ ‘roger, roger. what’s our
       vector, victor?’” he laughs, doing a barely-sufficient
       imitation like that in the movie. realizing not everyone
       may not have seen it or pick up on his reference, he says:

       “‘airplane!’? have you seen that movie? it’s pretty hilarious.”
